WHAT IS YOUR RELIGION?

I follow Hinduism. I pray to the idols in the temple. I celebrate Diwali, Pongal, Dhasara and many other festivals. I share sweets with my friends during these festivals.

My best friend is a Muslim. He believes in one god and in non-idol worship. He celebrates Ramzan, Bakrid and many other festivals. I have heard many of my other friends talking about the taste of the Biryani during these festivals in his home (Being a vegetarian I couldn’t afford to take the offer).

One of my friends is a Christian. She goes to church every Sunday, celebrates Christmas, Easter and many other festivals. I have tasted the Christmas and Easter cakes myself and they were really awesome.

When we were born, we were just blood and flesh. There was no religion inscribed into any of us. But forgive the society; we were brought into a cycle of belief. It is for the good, I should say. Religion gives us a belief beyond the existence of man. We are given a path to follow. We are taught to love, live and thank someone beyond, which help us beyond the four walls of a temple or a church or a mosque.

We are born in a secular country which respects the culture and tradition of all religions equally. My stand is that, you need not accept others beliefs. You don’t even have to be secular at all. But remember, others have the same right too. This does not imply that anyone can disrespect any religion because they are not following it.

Religious tolerance comes naturally to people who really admire their beliefs. People who fear their existence alone, admits violence as their weapon. So if disrespect towards other religions is purely based on fear that the religion would die, then even your own religion would never accept you. A religion never fears. It knows it will be followed. It knows it will have followers. Because, it shows the path of love and beyond.

And to be precise,
I am a Hindu who desperately wants to end my last breath at Kasi.
I am a Muslim who wants to perform the Hujj Yatra before I die.
I am a Christian who wants to attend the Mass every Sunday.
I am a Sikh who wants to keep the beard and hair uncut throughout my life.
I am a Jew, I even follow Buddhism and Jainism. I am a Parsi too and the list goes on and on.

After experiencing to be all, I am proud to accept I have my own beliefs. I am not secular at all. I declare myself to be a religious extremist, only that my religion being Humanity and my belief being love and compassion- A lesson thought by all these religions.

So, What is your religion?

VISION-2023: As the TN Pegasus tries to fly high

A peek in to the Global Investors Meet 2015- Part 2

As I closely watched the live program of GIM 2015 (both the inauguration and the valedictory functions), I should say this is no time to troll Chennai and the entire TN about it’s under developed areas. But some things should get their attention anyways. I appreciate the investment of Tomohide, a Japan company in digitizing Ponneri in the Chennai-Bengaluru industrial corridor and also a 200 crore investment by Malaysia in Madurai-Tootukudi industrial corridor. A total of 80 MoUs (Memorandum of Understanding) have been signed in manufacturing, energy and medical sectors. The government has requested Apollo to introduce Tele-Medicine in remote villages which to its credit has successfully connected various remote parts of India through Tele-Medicine.

All the newspapers are covering about the GIM 2015, the promises made by multinational and nationalized companies and small industries in various sectors. People say me that Chennai is the fastest growing state in India and these investments would certainly place TN ahead in all respects.

Where the concentration is needed after all the paper works and implementation?

Obviously, Infrastructure…

As I mentioned in the previous article in my blog, it’s the infrastructure where the state needs to concentrate. There is dissatisfaction in my heart about the statement, “Tamil Nadu has enough electricity and it is in the verge of becoming an electricity surplus state”. I travel between the Singara Chennai and my village (as my present situation demands that) and I have experienced enough current less hours in both the places.

"Electricity is a different sector. Why are you talking about that in infrastructure?", I could hear some of the voices rising.

Yes. Electricity belongs to energy sector. But, do we not live in a building with electrical wiring?  Don’t we expect to have the Air Conditioner on all the time? So, my definition of infrastructure includes this too. A major positive change in this sector would be the wish of all the people in TN, I think. Giving all the energy available to the investing companies and keeping the people in dark would reflect on the votes in the election. The present political party must remember that electricity crisis was among the few other reasons for the failure of the DMK lead government in 2011. I should mention here the MoU signed in the energy sector with the Adani group for 10,000 crores. This should be realized as fast as possible to satisfy the general public’s needs apart from sufficing the investors.

Another important aspect in which TN needs attention is the environment and sanitation. I hope people can understand that developing a clean environment to live is another important facet of infrastructure. There is a lot of buzz all over India about the “Clean India” campaign introduced by the central government.

Tamil Nadu needs to implement this personally for its own good. The places like Perungudi and Kodungaiyur, where the entire Chennai’s waste are dumped, need to be given an attention. They are collected and dumped in these two places predominantly. Considering a city which generates a waste of 5000 tonnes per month and a dumping yard which has not been expanded for years holding a 30 feet of unprocessed and infected wastes, it’s a high time for the government to divert the remaining 10 percent of investment that has not been categorized to be invested on any sector based on the news so far.

Every Tamilian would wish a better sanitation in all the places. The fine amount of 500 rupees for dumping non-degradable wastes in public places has never reached the people. Most of the people don’t even have any idea about this rule. This should be implemented the same way the rule of wearing helmets was established in the recent past. A “Clean TN” campaign is needed to save the state immediately from future disasters due to unprocessed wastes.

Many other problems will be discussed. Stay tuned!!!

I request all my readers to send a picture personally or in my timeline in any of the social media to prove that Tamil Nadu needs concentration in the electricity and environment. Use #TNVision2023. Join hands for TN. Create a ripple in the society. Plan to gift an energy surplus and clean TN to the future.

TO THE YOUTH OF INDIA

Are we on the way of achieving the great man and beautiful soul's dream- Vision 2020?

A small analysis by one of the citizen of India. Yes we are. We have the younger generation as big and as energetic as possible. We have made a difference in this election by throwing away the set of politicians who were dumb in terms of administrating the country and active in terms of making money both in state and central level. We are sustaining a period of economically down period, where our so called competitor China's stock markets have crashed leaving most of the nations shocked, thinking about their own economic environment, expecting a blow anytime. We have great scholars, technical freaks, researchers and hard workers in every field.

So what are we really waiting for?
Cant we get there even before the target year?
Yes of course. But why are we not sure about it?

Let us see from the top.
1. The younger generations energy is not channelized.

2. The change in government has given us some hope but still there are people who have started feeling all political parties are same in getting personal benefits from people's money.

3. We have a stable economy, but a lot need to be done to hold on the place where we are, more stabilization needed and the black money need to brought back to help that.

4. We have a lot of technically sound people and researchers but they get lost in developing things abroad. When they find out something new, India just becomes a witness, announcing itself proud.

All of this should be changed.

How can this be changed? is the question that pops up in every Indians mind.
There are ways. These are difficult for people who think themselves to be a middle class and if that happens to you by any means, please think of Kalam ji. Did he not sacrifice his personal life? He never called it a sacrifice though. We don't want to people to be unmarried. We just want every one to be a part of change. Part of his Vision. Part of India's Vision.

1. The younger generation should be guided. Job related to education should be provided. We have a bad notion on Education system of India. Was not a man from a government school become the mission director of a satellite launch? Did he not become the Honorable President of India? Think about this.

2. Yes. All political parties are same. All politicians are same. But we have equal right to be at their post as them. Joining politics is one heck of a thing in this society. But did we not create a history by giving a majority to one party because of the others corruption. If you have a thought of joining politics or creating a new party, never hesitate. India is different now. Indians have changed. India is young. Just go for it.

3. And about the black money. There can be ways to bring them back. But, if there are going to be this younger generation money makers, pledge yourself to the mother India that you would never grab the money that belongs to her. You know, it becomes black. Simple, pay the tax.

4. There is ought to be plagiarism in India. Yes, right and There are no research facilities. O, the hell. This is not true at all. Trading yourself to earn more is equal to prostitution. Kalam ji had completed his doctorate in MIT, Chennai and to his honor he has 6 doctorates in total. I think it all depends on the people who does the research and how they do that. If you can create something others cannot and if it is stolen from you, you have to prove it by creating something better than that.

As the citizen of India, just have a thought about it. If this message changes someone, at least one, I would be very happy. Because, believe every change begins with you, with us. Let us achieve. Let us be the change.

DREAM BIG.

BE A PART OF VISION 2020.
A SMALL REQUEST FROM THE APJ INSPIRED SOUL.

Health is wealth

We all know what is wealth. While the perception of wealth varies from decade to decade, this decade is very precious in a way that, we are ...
